Today I received the quarterly statement for my 401k from April  1 to June 30 and was pleased to see that my portfolio was up 21.35% for that period. This is in stark contrast to the prior year where the value of my portfolio decreased over 41%. With the current year being up 13.65%, my hopes are high that we could see a turn around. I don’t think this means anything for the general economy as a whole. We still have major issues across all sectors and major unemployment problems. But as long as my 401k keeps going up, I’ll feel good.
