I was having a discussion with @shetakesthecake, @lisawalsh and @TheBigYahi at the Syracuse TweetUp last month regarding Facebook.  We all agreed that Facebook has become very MySpace like with all of the applications that people are adding.  I used to spend a rather proportionate amount of time on Facebook but these days I typically hop on there simply to see if anyone has messaged me. I did the same thing with MySpace for a very long time and eventually I deleted my account on MySpace.  There were only a couple of people that were only on MySpace, so it wasn’t too difficult to get rid of that account.  Really, the people that were only on MySpace I pretty much never talked to anyhow.

Of course, with the latest changes to Facebook, it seems like they have decided to take an even different approach and now want to become even more like Twitter. I guess they couldn’t ignore the phenomenom for that long. Particularly when Twitter is being used more as a professional tool than Facebook is.
