Stephen Moore has an opinion piece for the Wall Street Journal titled “‘Atlas Shrugged’: From Fiction to Fact in 52 Years”. Moore discusses how eerily similar the current situation in Washington is to the events in Ayn Rand‘s epochal novel. This hit home for me in that I have been reading ‘Atlas Shrugged’ for a bit here. I’ve managed to make it through at least two thirds of the novel and am hoping to finish it here shortly.

I would suggest reading the novel, it will help to make sense of the current fiscal crisis and should certainly make you think once or twice about the direction that the government seems to be taking.
