Yesterday I went out and purchased a digital camera. I had been looking for one for a while although wasn’t really serious about getting one. I think what prompted me to make the purchase was m trip to San Diego since I didn’t have a camera and there were plenty of memorable experiences that would have been wonderful to capture in a digital format and then post to the Photo section of my website.

I feel it was a good purchase since I will be on vacation next week and I have multiple concerts that I will be attending. I think that I should be able to bring my camera to a few of them and I am looking forward to being able to take pictures while at the beach and at the soccer game that I will be attending.

The camera that I purchased is a Nikon Coolpix 5600. I also purchased a 512MB SD Card from SanDisk so that I could store extra pictures. I am looking forward to seeing how my images come out because my brother has an older model of the camera and I have always loved the pictures that he took.

I figure I should have plenty of opportunities to use the camera this coming year as I do have season Football and Basketball tickets for Syracuse. As well as a wedding in September and of course the crew will be back in town for school come August.
