Constantly when I prepare to write in the Blurb I find that I inevitably attempt to make myself sound much more eloquent than I truely am. In fact, I find that in most cases where I am writing I do the same thing. I am not sure who I am really trying to impress. There isn’t really anyone that I feel I need to impress. Most of the time no one even reads these things so I probably should just stop worrying about impressing anyone.

Maybe it stems from the reading that I try and do. Often times I am reading books from writers who have a strong command of the English language and I try vainly to emulate them. I guess I should have paid a bit more attention in my writing classes.
